Idea for the weekend - BEKSKE COFFEE

Through coffee entrepreneurships, Bèkske is supporting, Rwandan women who are all survivors of the genocide against the Tutsi. Most of them have also survived sexual violence. The women within the empowerment program have experienced a terrible period in human history, resulting in great losses, trauma and poverty so coffee entrepreneurship offers them a hopeful future. Supporting Bèkske ensures that we contribute to their social and economic independence. The sale of this delicious coffee (i've tasted it and it’s DELICIOUS!!) enables these resilient women to restore their self-esteem and (re)take their place in society.

Bèkske coffee is contributing to the United Nation’s Social Development Goals (SDG’s). A call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
